Mobile Design

The Challenge

For my User Experience Design Studio 5: Specialization course, I combined my ambitions to improve my user interface skills and work in an area of interest to me by designing a book-tracking applications for users to track, rate, review, and share books with their friends. This was an individual semester-long project that includes research, iterative sketching and testing, & Figma mockups.

Goals

  • To understand the motivations & obstacles readers face during their reading journey via practitioner literature & interviews on reading.
  • To sketch initial ideas and possible design frameworks & styles for my book-tracking application, conduct a small group sketching activity with participants in order to evaluate user needs and desires.
  • To create iterations for a low-fidelity and mid-fidelity prototype of a book-tracking app based on my findings.

My Role

I was a solo researcher, testing facilitator, and designer for this project. All presented work has been created and curated by me.
